Digital technology has changed the way we play, causing parents to have concerns about the impact this has on the physical and emotional wellbeing of their children. Play.world aims to get kids more active by using the allure of digital play to transform screen time in to a full body experience. By stepping in to a play.suit the player is transported to a world of adventure that requires them to use their body to be able to play, learn and explore. For added peace of mind, parents can use the app to set motivational goals, track progress and send rewards.
This project was for my honours year at university and it all started with a mission I was on to encourage people to be more active. This took two different paths, one for my dissertation project (Run Station - A hub designed to facilitate and incentivise active commuting) and this project PLAY.WORLD.
